Keeping It Simple
Whilst we know many other sites will go into all the jargon about how something technical will store data for so long and it all gets too much, at Spirit Beauty we like to simplify so that anyone can understand our terms and conditions.
We (Spirit Beauty) of registered address (8 hardgate, haddington, east lothian, eh41 3jw) are controllers of data passed to our site, this includes (from cookies) statistics of visitors such as visits to any given product or page (but is not exclusive to this). We do not hold or store any payment details (such as card numbers) in our systems as all payments are taken through PayPal only. The data we store is held in a secure database remotely and is not accessible by any third party. We will never sell your data.
Whilst we attempt to keep our data as up to date as we can, this is not always possible. Where we cannot update information over 12 months old (after attempts to contact the data's owner) the data will be removed from our online database and a paper copy kept (for legal reasons) for a further 5 years. If this data has still not been update or shown to be correct we will remove and destroy such data from our files. At any point during our "holding" of data you can request a change in data or deletion of data, such requests must be given in writing to the address above (please include your name, date of birth and any other relevant details old and new).
Whilst we will collect data to improve our site and to make your visit easier (i.e keeping your details on file) we will NOT collect irrelevant data. However, if you take part in a questionairre from our site or in store you are agreeing to allow us to keep this data on our systems, such that we may inform you of offers and new products based around your answers. If you wish to opt-out of these messages please indicate this clearly on the given forms or when asked by a member of staff. Removal from this list of "subscribers" as with our newsletter mailing lists is simple, just e-mail or call us with your address and if opssible a reason for leaving our subscription list.
Securing your data is a high priority so if you are making payment you are taken to PayPal securley using a 128-bit SSL encrytption (industry standard), we only do this at the last second as we transfer you to PayPal so don't worry that you can't see the little lock icon.
Finally, we want to make it clear that from time to time we may revise this page or our T&C page without prior notice. Where this occurs we will apply notes below the page in explanation for one month.
